● The offer: farmstay in the Umbrian Hills
● Location: Perugia, Italy
Podere Vallescura is an all-organic farm in the Umbrian hills just a few miles north of Perugia, Italy, run by Sima e Simo, a lovely and fun couple who self describe themselves "as two stubborn bears born in the city by mistake".
Stay in a charming two-bedroom apartment within this 17th-century farmhouse, surrounded by 93 hectares of serene landscape. With no traditional utilities, Podere Vallescura is completely self-sustained. Electricity comes from photovoltaic panels and a wind generator, hot water is solar-powered, and the drinking water flows from an on-site spring.
Stargaze to your heart's content and join in various farm activities like harvesting lavender or gathering fresh eggs. If you feel like venturing out further, there are plenty of slow itineraries to enjoy. Take a hike, ride an e-bike along scenic trails, or visit nearby artistic towns like Mugnano.
● The offer: glamping in the Azores Islands
● Location: Horta, Portugal
To start, the Azores are an archipelago off the coast of Portugal characterised by breathtaking nature, much of which remains unspoilt.
Nestled within a lush grove of palms, ferns, and incenso trees, on the lower slopes of the Capelinhos Volcano overlooking the rugged Atlantic coastline, you'll find half a dozen cosy tented cabins and a pair of yurts. Like Forest Days, Azul Singular embraces the concept of glamping to offer the best of both worlds.
Roll up the curtains each morning to reveal the vibrant jungle, accompanied by the symphony of birdsong and the gentle rustling of the wind through the trees. The "glam" aspect features cabins with fully-equipped kitchenettes, a bathroom with a hot shower, a dining area, and a large outdoor wooden table with a garden view.
For those feeling more adventurous, there’s the option of Asiatic Nomad-style tents, inspired by traditional yurts. Sleep in comfort underneath the stars.

The offer: eco-retreat by Lake Hallbosjön

With Sweden's deep-rooted spa culture, it's no surprise the Swedes excel in alternative travel experiences, too.

The farm thrives on innovative agriculture, buzzing beekeeping, blooming flower meadows, biochar production, and a sophisticated biological water treatment system, all fostering a vibrant, healthy environment for life in all its forms.
At the heart of the property stands the Eco Barn, a century-old structure renovated with sustainable, natural materials and mindful design. This barn houses a conference and yoga room with breathtaking views of Lake Hallbosjön, as well as various types of accommodations.
Guests are invited to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse themselves in nature, whether staying in the Eco Barn or a charming red cottage.

● The offer: Wild setting, rustic eco-glamping in the Catalan Pyrenees
● Location: Navès, Catalonia, Spain
This is possibly, the smallest wild campsite in Catalonia, but where big experiences and adventures happen. It's your untamed alternative to the mayhem of Barcelona City - only 1:30 h away - and to the stunningly beautiful, but crazy bustling Costa Brava Coastline, which can be also easily reached through one of the most scenic main roads crossing Catalonia.
We want to offer you a special glimpse into the world of bygone explorers and voyagers’ camps, in an experience that unfolds within five hectares of meadow and wild and untouched woodland.
By limiting the number of tents we put up to only 5 Camps, and avoiding overcrowding our five hectares of lovely forest and meadows, we can provide a deep and hugely better experience for our guests. And we like to keep it that way.
At Forest Days, each Camp is located in a beautiful spot tucked away in the forest, featuring a splendid cotton bell tent tastefully furnished and with 2 of the key elements that we consider, make a total success of any camping experience:
- A superbly comfortable Super-king bed in your tent.
- And a vastly ample private outdoor area around it. Just for you.
Our 5 unique Camps are well-separated and nestled within the forest, surrounded only by shadowy trees for coolness and tons of space for privacy.
Each camp is individual and has everything you may need for a comfortable stay, including its own privately used Dry Toilet Hut, hammocks, deckchairs, and a big, wooden outdoor table for those fun al fresco meals surrounded by nature and friends.
This set up allows us to offer you and your loved ones a truly immersive stay, reminiscent of traditional, free-spirited camping.
Our goal is to provide you with an experience that goes beyond mere accommodation.
We want you to truly reconnect with the natural world, to discover the joy of slow, simple living, and most of all, create unforgettable memories with your family and the people you most care about.
Tip: Electricity is great! but only when truly needed.
At Forest Days, we believe we’ve reached a clever compromise.
To stay true to Forest Days’ minimalist, simple living philosophy, our tents in the forest are entirely off-grid.
They are designed to be delightfully snug, cosy and homely without being wired up!, allowing you to disconnect from the over-stimulation of everyday life and fully immerse yourself in the serene, tranquil forest environment.
Nighttime illumination in the tent and around the camps is provided by smart solar charging lights, enhancing the magic of your stay.
On the other hand, electricity is exclusively reserved for our charming and convenient Central services Area, just a short walk from each camp.
Here, you'll find our practical Honesty Bar and Larder Hut, equipped with refrigerators and other essentials, and a quirky and well stocked Library corner. Our big Central Kitchen and Winter Campfire Areas, are located at the heart of Forest Days, boasting stunning views of rolling hills and plenty of sitting shady corners and Mess Tents to eat and socialise. This space will get you honing those BBQ master skills in no time! alongside the sets of stoves for you to prepare any dish you wish. Our lovely main building, The Shed, features modern amenities such as rain showers, flush toilets, hair dryers, and convenient charging points.
This thoughtful setup ensures you have access to all of today’s comforts while still savoring the unique off-grid experience in the heart of nature — a rare find indeed.
So, our conclusion is: go to where nature, and your heart, calls you.
We genuinely love what we do. It transpires in every detail, we are told.
And we just want to share with you the incredible feeling of exhilaration, self-satisfaction, and the profound sense of achievement that comes from spending quality time in nature, in an unplugged, old-fashioned, meaningful way.
